Adam and Eve Ate Of The Forbidden Fruit

As Adam gave the first human step, his weak legs started to fold under him, like a newborn baby.  The Lord caught him before he fell and held him steady on his feet until he could stand by himself.  As he grew stronger he started to give little steps, while looking wonderly about.  He looked down at his own body, studying everything about himself and then he looked up questionly at the Lord.  There was nothing in his mind.  The Lord smiled at him while speaking in a soothing voice ... telling Adam why he is living, giving him command of the whole planet; of everything alive.

As The Lord gave Adam the tour of Earth, gliding across the surface, Adam gave every animal a name, and every bird, and every fish.  They finished their tour and were finally back in the Garden of Eden.  The pride nearly burst in His Heart as He just stood there, watching Adam.

The pure innocence of Adam made only that The Lord loved him even more.

So The Lord left Adam in the Garden of Eden and returned to Heaven, because He had some business to tend to.

After sorting out the war between two universes, a rebellion by a group of angels, the fight between His sons, He returned to Eden to take a breather.  Adam was walking around, speaking to the animals.

The Lord called Adam and he immediately came.  He was so glad to see his Father.  They spoke of things of what happened to Adam while The Lord was in Heaven.

The Lord then suddenly realized how lonely Adam must be, while He is away.  He immediately decided to make a mate for Adam.  He brought a deep sleep over Adam and then took one of his ribs from his body.  The Lord created Eve around the rib of Adam.  He then brought her to life by breathing into her nose.

The first thing that Adam saw, when he opened his eyes, was the face of Eve.

He slowly stood up while looking wondrously at the beautiful creature before him.  He could feel that she was made from him.  He felt the bond.

They smiled at each other as they gazed into each other's eyes.  The Lord then interrupted them to get their attention.  They then slowly made their way to the center of Eden.

When they reached the center, they saw two trees standing away from all the other trees.  The Lord then explained to them that they can eat anything they wish, except from the two trees.

The one tree was The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, and the other one was The Tree of Eternal Life.  He warned them that they would die if they eat from the fruits of the two trees, and they promised Him that they would stay away.

What He didn't tell them was that He brought the two godly trees from Heaven and that it was not created with the rest of nature on Earth. He brought the trees down to Eden for Himself. It was His trees.  He decided that there was no need for His innocent children to know more about the two trees.

As the days go by everything fell into a perfect pattern ...  The Lord ran the Kingdom with an Iron Fist with regular visits to Adam and Eve.  Adam and Eve played  ... the whole day long, every day.

On the days of The Lord's visits, they would ran to Him with delighted pleasure and keep Him company in utter adoration.

He always felt so relaxed when He returned to Heaven.  Even His Patience with the idiotic situations in His Kingdom had improved.  Live was good!

But a pair of jealous eyes had been watching Him, since the day that He left Heaven to create His retreat.

The jealous eyes saw the two creatures that He created in His Image, living on a beautiful planet that He created for them.

They were unlike any of the other life forms He had created before.  They were beautiful to look upon, and delightful to speak to.  They were perfect!

The jealous eyes could take the innocent perfection not one second more. He also wanted part of the beautiful planet and everything on it.  The Lord had no right to keep it all to Himself!

The Jealous One immediately knew how he was going to get a foothold on Earth.  He was going to corrupt the children of The Lord, behind His back.

So he waited patiently for the right moment.  He waited until Eve wandered off to pluck an apple from a tree.  He looked around and the only living thing available, to communicate through,  was a snake that was sleeping curled-up in the apple tree.

The Jealous One was not taking any chances in his true form. Anyhow, he had to protect his identity. There was no need to get caught up in The Lord's Wrath if he can avoid it.

He immediately took possession of the snake's body and greeted Eve.  Eve stared wondrously at the speaking snake for a moment, and then greeted him back.

It was easy to convince the innocent Eve to eat from the restricted trees, because she couldn't think far enough to realize that it was a setup.  She trusted the snake's words blindingly, like a child.

Eve stood in front of the trees, deciding which of the delicious looking fruits would she first taste.  She reached out and first pluck a fruit from the The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

She brought it to her mouth and bite a chunk out of it.

As the sweet nectar finds it's way down her throat, everything around her changed immediately, but her eyes didn't know yet what she was seeing.

She called to Adam, and when he came she offered the fruit to him.  With the same innocent trust he too took a bite out of it.  He too saw that everything was different.

And then they became aware of the difference between their bodies, and they felt their nakedness.

Covering themselves in leaves, they found the darkest corner they could get and hid in the shadows, because they knew that they were going to have to explain it to The Lord.

The same day the Lord came down to visit.  He found it strange when He couldn't see them.  After a while He called their names.

Slowly they emerged from the shadow and dread clamped around The Lord's Heart when He saw that they're wearing leaves.  And they stammered the whole story of the deceit of the snake,

The Lord knew it was the end of His perfect dream.

They were suppose to remain as innocent children forever ... living for Him in the Garden.

Now they are innocent children with enough godly knowledge to destroy everything around them in their blindness to what everything really means.

He would have to prevent them from eating again from the tree and thus gain more knowledge, or worse, eat from the Tree of Eternal Life.  They would then live forever ... as His Broken Image.  He would have to put a lock-down on the Garden for ever.

An angel stood guard over Eden.

And so their fate was sealed ... He would have to let them go.  Killing them was not an option.  He loved them.  They will have to be banished from Eden.

He dressed them tenderly in animal skins, and with heartbreaking sorrow He sent them away from the Garden of Eden to go and fend for themselves in the bitter world of godly knowledge.
