In The Beginning: The Creation

It was a hectic day ..... AGAIN!

As if listening daily to the bickering of the family and the bickering of the angels were not enough!  .... NOOOO! ...  there WILL be hundreds of problems in the Kingdom [home to all universes] that WILL demand His immediate attention!  After all, He IS the Master of the Kingdom.   And He suddenly felt tired.  He suddenly yearned for a place where He can rest His weary head ... He needed a getaway from it all!

The more He thought about it, the more it made sense.  Why not?!  He can, from time to time, go to this place for periods of time to refresh His mind and soul.  It was immediately decided. He was going to build the perfect retreat ... a place that is home away from home!

He immediately called a conference to inform everybody that He would be away for a while and He wishes to be alone.  Nobody seemed to have a problem with that.

He first scanned the Kingdom for the right place. His eye suddenly caught a dead universe with nine planets, clustering in the far corner of the Kingdom.  He was, upon closer inspection, delighted to see that the watery third planet was perfect for His plans.  The planet was a solid landmass completely covered in water.

So, without any further to-do He teleported to the planet, gliding over the water as He inspected the planet from close.

The first thing He needed was light in the choking blackness.

He raised His hands, and as a terrible thunder rumbled through the universe, hundreds of lightning bolts cracked from His fingers and streaked through the space until it reached the specific point that He had calculated.

Upon connecting on the designated point, the lightning streaks started to fuse together until it was one big ball of white brightness. He looked on as the lightning bolts started to melt, because of the force of the fusion, until they were a bright silvery liquid.  He looked on as the liquid started to set into a solid mass as it cooled off, and a big white light shone gently upon His eyes.

He called the ball the Moon.  He decided that it was not enough light. So, shooking His hand towards the sky, millions of individual lightning bolts streaked into the black sky only to be compressed into small balls by His voice command.  He called them Stars and the moment in time the Night.

Satisfied with the perfection of the sky bodies, He glided to the other side of the planet.  Calculating the time of the earth rotation, on a twenty four hour timetable that He designed specifically for Earth,  He pinpointed  a specific place in the black space, raised His hands and the thunder shook the universe once again.

This time millions of fiery lightning bolts streaked through space to a specified destination.   It started to melt because of the force of the fusion until it was a living burning entity.  He called it the Sun as the newly borne sunrays warmed His skin.  He called the moment in time Day.  He looked upon His work and He thought it was good.

Next on the list was to divide the land from the water.  As He glided over the water He inspected the landmass below the water and planned the rising of the land.  After being satisfied on how He was going to divide the landmass, He started bringing the landmass up by commanding the land to tear and rise.  His voice bellowed around the earth and it sounded like terrible thunder and screaming as the landmass ripped apart at the dividing seams, while rising above the water.  When the pieces of landmass reached the calculated height, the Lord stopped rising the land and watched while the water fell back from the land.  He looked upon His work and He thought it was good.

He then created mist around the globe and within the mist He created, by voice command, the grass, trees, plants and flowers.  As the mist lifted He inspected the freshly borne surface of Earth ... a beautiful sight to see.  He looked upon His work and He thought it was good.

Then came the animals, birds and fish.  He commanded the dirt from the surface of the land to form into desired forms.  When He was satisfied that all were perfectly put together He breathed into the wind, and the wind carried His breath into every form on the planet.

And the surface of the Earth came alive with all the life forms.  He look upon His work and He thought it was good.

The sun broke friendly over the horizon, on the morning of the sixth day.  He felt pure happiness in His heart as He glided over the surface of Earth, enjoying the spectacular live picture that He had created.

It's just what He needed, and with a smile He gently landed on a piece of earth.  Yes, He thought, this place is perfect to create Paradise, and then the Lord created the Garden of Eden.

There were all kinds of fruit trees, with beautiful flower tresses everywhere and soft grass covered the ground ... and the gentle sound of water fountains filled the air.  It was a place where the Lion and the Lamb lay together.

And then it was time! It was time to make His companion.

With tender hands He started to sculpt the dirt from the earth into a sculpture of Himself.  Taking His time and not missing a detail He finished it and stood back to inspect His handwork.  The sandy sculpture stood upright on its feet ... waiting.  The Lord then bent into the face of the sculpture and breathed into the sandy nose.

He stepped back and watched as the sandy sculpture turned into flesh and bone ... in His Image.

He watched as Man drew his first breath.
